Sister
Wolf Books is located in the village of Dorset,
the self-proclaimed "Restaurant Capital of the World," just outside
Park Rapids, Minnesota.
Sister
Wolf was founded in 1994 by Mary Kay Watson, whose goal was to create a community
center for book lovers. Sister Wolf soon became known for its excellent selection
of books, books discussion groups, and special activities.
The name Sister Wolf Books was chosen to suggest the connections among people, nature, and wisdom. Sister reminds us of family connections, and one of Wolf's mythical attributes is as a “bringer of knowledge and wisdom.” In our logo, the wolf is standing on a book in front of the full moon. The circle brings these symbols together in harmony and community.
In the fall of 2004, Bob Wills and Sally Wizik Wills purchased Sister Wolf Books.
Their goal is to continue the tradition which Mary Kay began, while introducing
new lines of books and other products.
