The Dorset Annual Garage Sale

Dorset was the place for garage salers to be on September 12! Tables were set up throughout town, and restaurants were ready to fuel hungry shoppers with the great food Dorset in known for. Over 30 vendors plus our local businesses combined to offer all sorts of treasures.

Festival of Authors and Artists

Dorset's annual Festival of Authors and Artits was a fun-filled celebration of Minnesota creativity! Authors and readers filled the store, with artists and musicians throughout town. (If you missed the event, we still have copies of the books in the store, many of them signed.) Marlene is a retired emergency nurse and passionate advocate for victims. She has written numerous articles and curricula about domestic violence, conducted seminars throughout and beyond Minnesota, and received awards and community recognition for her work. Senator Paul Wellstone invited her to Washington to testify on the impact of violence on women’s health.

Complimentary copies of Marlene's book Beyond the Mirror are available at Sister Wolf Books and Beagle Books while supplies last.
